This years annual Barrel Aged BeerFest will be on Saturday, August 3rd starting at 2pm. It will not include a souvenir glass and will be general admission, just buying individual four ounce pours. We will be doing a VIP After Party on Sunday, August 4th that will be held in our new space above the bar (known to some as The Upper Lip).
Back to Saturday – We are changing out all the beers and putting on 20 amazing barrel aged rarities. Expect some slight changes to the list until the very last minute.
10 Barrel Ransom Imperial Stout– We created a robust stout that delivers flavor that flows throughout the beer. We used flaked barley, brown, biscuit, aromatic, along with some dark malts to create a multi layered malt bill. This is complemented by the hop charge of Magnum and Fuggle. All this is brought together by the aging of the beer in whiskey barrels from Ransom distillery. 9% 75 IBUs

Crux Fermentation Project Tough Love – Bold but nuanced, an homage of sorts to the traditional Russian Imperial Stouts and the ruling style of Catherine the Great. We Construct it with dark, roasted malts, malted rye, and oak-smoked wheat, and then banished it for nine months in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels. The aging smooths out the edges on an otherwise bold statement, and bitterness succumbs to tender strokes of vanilla beans, hints of dried cherries, and new layers revealing themselves with each sip.11.5%
